Don’t Look Back at Anger, Oasis Returns!
It has been 5,475 days since Oasis played their last gig in Paris on August 29, 2009, fifteen years ago. Throughout the years, there have been countless rumors about the return of Oasis, one of the most popular bands ever. Oasis has made a lasting impression on the first generation of fans, and now the second-generation fan base is just as eager for their return as the first generation. Liam and Noel Gallagher are primarily known for their confidence and outspoken personalities, which are sorely missed by the new generation of artists. While their dynamic can sometimes lead to conflict, they created iconic rock music in the 90s, making them one of the most legendary bands—the most authentic vocals from Liam, a guitar sound you know only Noal is playing. Oasis is a band with a sound that can't be copied. Since their breakup in 1999, a void has always been left in rock music. The rise of Liam Gallagher selling out Knebworth twice in 2022 showed the strong demand for Oasis. Noel has written countless Oasis hits, and his band, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, has many fantastic songs showing Noel's top-of-the-mountan songwriting. Liam wrote a bunch of hits, including the song "Once." The song helped him leap to the top and become the headliner at all major festivals. Oasis has produced nothing but timeless and incredible rock music that spans generations. The Oasis return speculation started on August 25th when Liam Gallagher flashed on the jumbo screen at his last solo headliner performance at the Reading Festival. "27.08.24" , "8AM".
The crowd lost their minds, and everyone went into an overload of speculation about Oasis's return. Some outlets have been down this road before and didn't believe this was a complete sign of a return, but then Noel, Liam, and the Oasis social media pages posted the same thing. The band posted on August 27 at 8 AM, "The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised."
Oasis announced they will not be headlining festivals in 2025, so their Live 2025 tour is the only way to see the band. The demand for Oasis is more evident than ever before, as they are on the brink of selling out seventeen concert dates in massive 80 to 100,000-seat arenas starting in Cardiff Principality Stadium on July 4th and 5th, Five shows at Manchester Heaton Park on July 11th,12th,16th, 19th and 20th, five Shows at Wembley Stadium on July 25th, 26th, 30th, August 2nd and 3rd. Oasis travels to play three shows at Edinburgh Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium on August 8th, 9th, and 12th. Then, the band travels to Ireland, playing at Croke Park in Dublin on August 16th and 17th. We have unconfirmed information that Oasis will use Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds members to complete the band.
After a fifteen-year wait, fans probably thought a giggling brother media table announcement would happen, but that's never been their style. The Oasis social media just announced an extended early ticket purchase date of August 30th. The ticket demand is so high they can't keep up. Stay tuned for updates on additional shows and, hopefully, a concert announcement in the USA.
